Surfing is art. It’s cinema.

The Floripa Film Fest was born to celebrate the audiovisual experience on both sides of the screen: those who watch and those who make.

We believe surfing is far too beautiful to be seen only on a small screen.

Behavior. Core culture. The biggest creative gathering of Brazilian surf.

The three days

Far beyond the screen

At the center, award-winning surf films from around the world. Around them, live music, DJs, workshops, podcasts, talks, food, art and local brands.

  1. A long national holiday weekend

    Thursday through Saturday — plenty of time to live the whole festival.

  2. The start of the summer season

    Barra da Lagoa waking up to summer — the island at its best.

  3. A surf community from all over Brazil

    Filmmakers, surfers and audience from across the country in the same garden.

  4. Daytime workshops and activations

    By day, workshops and gatherings; when it gets dark, the screen lights up.
